Ubuntu would like to include a beautiful set of images for our users to choose from in our next release. In order to accomplish this we have set up a wiki page to explain things and guidelines for inclusion.
In addition we've started a flickr group to attract current flickr users and encourage new contributors to step up and take the plunge.
If you have amazing photos which you would like to share with the world, please add them to the list!
How about finally including those very attractive upstream ones?

:-)
Why don't you ask community first if users want Mono by default or not, before you dare to exploit community some more?
ReplyDeleteerm, I have nothing to do with mono. You might want to check who you are dealing with first. No love lost on Mono here.
ReplyDeleteWindows 7 has a setting that has wallpapers changing from time to time. It would be nice if Ubuntu had that - predownload the next wallpaper during a package update and then change it for all Ubuntu workstations at the same moment around the world.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mateusz...very nice!
ReplyDeleteAnd zumzum....how about you do a little research before you start jumping on the "let's bash mono for no intelligent reason" bandwagon.
Ubuntu has mono. If you don't want mono, don't use Ubuntu. Jeez.
ReplyDeleteI may actually have a stab at producing a wallpaper for this, sounds like a fun way to test myself.
